Paladin Technologies is currently hiring for a Technical Specialist to join our Monitoring Operation to help support the maintenance & growth of our technical infrastructure.
The position will operate out of the Operations Centre in Victoria, BC and will provide support across all geographic areas.
This is a full time position which requires independent and flexible scheduling & the ability to travel within North America.
Responsibilities : Perform an active leadership in researching, selecting & implementing technology for a redundant alarm monitoring operational infrastructure Performing testing to discover vulnerabilities in individual systems, processes, and alarm monitoring facilities Survey the physical structural & network to develop countermeasures for infrastructure & process vulnerabilities Perform audits, acting in the role of subject matter expert for implementation & review of ULC / UL and industry wide best practices and standards Document detailed system features, requirements, and data flow diagrams to support the current and future roadmap Provide front line IT support for workstations, receivers & telephone infrastructure in the alarm monitoring operation You may be required to be “on-call” before or after your regularly scheduled hours, and / or on a day when you are not regularly scheduled to work Required Qualifications : 3 Years of experience Troubleshooting various IT systems (Microsoft) Desire for continuable learning Strong oral & written communication skills & documentation practices Strong problem-solving, analytical & interpersonal skills Accountable, detail oriented and adaptable Effective multi-tasking ability with competing timelines and deliverables Work effectively (independently and / or within a team) across functional areas in a collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications : Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
