Job description

Position Summary

:
ReturnPro is looking for a team oriented, driven, and energetic Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance department ensures the facility equipment and machinery run efficiently by conducting regular preventative maintenance (repairing as needed). In addition, the Maintenance department performs heavy duty cleaning such as cleaning the floors throughout the facility, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. The Maintenance Associate is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment within the facility.


Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the teammate occupying this position.

  • Maintain the condition of all material handling equipment owned by ReturnPro including forklifts, reach trucks and waves

  • Maintain all automated and manual processing equipment including shrink wrap machines, conveyors, and storage racks

  • Improving the efficiency of equipment where practical

  • Ensure equipment within the facility does not present a danger to the health or safety of teammates

  • Maintain complete records of inspections and work completed

  • Ensure all fire extinguishers, fire exit doors, and emergency lighting are functioning properly and meet all regulatory codes

  • Design, implement, and maintain preventive maintenance on equipment

  • Maintain sufficient inventory of parts and necessary supplies

  • Follow standard operating procedures

  • Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible

  • Notify team lead of any technical or material issues

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • A high school qualification or equivalent

  • Basic knowledge and skills in electrical, electronics, mechanics, plumbing and carpentry

  • Experience in manufacturing would be advantageous

  • Experience in operating bench and portable power tools

  • Knowledge of health and safety laws

  • Excellent knowledge of equipment used in the manufacturing process

  • Frequently required to walk, bend, use hands, and reach with hands and arms

  • Possible weekend work and overtime required (including potential overnight shifts)

  • Ability to frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.

  • Ability to frequently and repetitively lift and carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs

  • Ability to frequently and repetitively bend, lift and reach to install parts of varying size and weight overhead

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
