Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Electrical Assembler for our client in Bowmanville, ON. This permanent opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in electrical assembly, industrial equipment assembly, panel wiring, and manufacturing production.

  • Pay Rate: $21.00-$26.00/hour + 5% Afternoon/Night Shift Premium
  • Location: Bowmanville, ON
  • Shift: Afternoon | 4x10 Schedule (Must be available for 24/5 operations)

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble metal components, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Perform electrical assembly tasks including wiring, cable routing, wire termination, and component installation
  • Install electrical components such as sensors, switches, junction boxes, motors, and control panels
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Verify electrical connections for accuracy, continuity, and grounding
  • Assist with basic troubleshooting and testing during the assembly process
  • Conduct quality inspections and identify defects or non-conforming materials
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with production teams, including welders, painters, CNC operators, and engineers
  • Follow all health, safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Meet production schedules, quality standards, and productivity targets

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in electrical assembly, manufacturing assembly, or industrial production
  • Demonstrated experience with electrical wiring and component installation
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Electrical, electromechanical, or technical training through college, trade school, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in fabrication, heavy manufacturing, or industrial equipment assembly
  • Background in panel wiring or machine wiring
  • Familiarity with CSA, UL, or similar electrical standards
  • Experience using multimeters and performing basic troubleshooting and testing
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
