Maintain monthly KPI database information
Serve as a resource / consultant regarding the development of new capital projects to ensure that all EHS issues are identified and addressed and to ensure successful management of any changes
Conduct health and safety inspections of both operations and facilities, identify safety hazards and recommend corrective measures
Lead and implement the Contractor Safety Program for the plant
Environmental
Coordinate all the Environmental programs in accordance with all Company standards and governmental regulations
Act as the Environmental representative with government agents to ensure environmental issues are addressed and monitored
Complete and file all environmental regulatory reports, permits and authorizations as required
Complete analysis and reporting for Tier II reporting
Complete all incident reports for environmental spills
Qualifications
A combination of the listed skills and knowledge is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Business, Safety, Human Resources or another applicable program
Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working with Environment, Health & Safety programs in a manufacturing plant environment
A working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
Knowledge of worker’s compensation
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Team spirited, dynamic, innovative, results-oriented and autonomous
Experience in food industry
Ability to develop and implement classroom training programs for employees
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Good organizational and multitasking skills
Confidentiality a must
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk, hear and smell. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
