Spécialiste santé, sécurité et environnement – Longueuil, QC

Résumé du poste – Spécialiste santé, sécurité et environnement (SSE)

Relevant directement du directeur de production, le spécialiste SSE est responsable d’assurer la conformité environnementale, sanitaire et de sécurité tout en favorisant l’amélioration continue des programmes et de la culture EHS. Ce poste élabore et met en œuvre des programmes SSE, dispense des formations, enquête sur les incidents et rédige des instructions de travail. Le spécialiste SSE soutient les opérations, collabore avec les différents départements pour résoudre les problèmes et mène des initiatives visant à instaurer une culture de sécurité de calibre mondial.

Ce que vous ferez :

  • Élaborer, mettre en œuvre et mettre à jour annuellement un programme de prévention complet conforme à la réglementation du Québec et aligné sur les objectifs de l’entreprise, en collaboration avec le personnel local et l’équipe SSE corporative.
  • Surveiller et mesurer la performance SSE à l’aide d’indicateurs (KPI) et mesures; identifier de manière proactive les écarts et mettre en œuvre des actions correctives.
  • Analyser les données SSE pour repérer les tendances et les opportunités d’amélioration et stimuler l’amélioration continue.
  • Effectuer des inspections et audits réguliers pour assurer la conformité SSE, promouvoir des comportements sécuritaires et veiller au respect des exigences.
  • Concevoir et dispenser des formations SSE pour tous les employés, conformément aux règlements locaux et aux politiques de l’entreprise.
  • Créer et tenir à jour les registres de formation, les programmes de sécurité, les dossiers de conformité et les registres d’incidents.
  • Enquêter sur les incidents, réaliser des analyses des causes profondes et mettre en œuvre des actions correctives et préventives.
  • Réaliser des évaluations de risques et des analyses de sécurité des tâches pour atténuer les risques SSE et garantir des pratiques de travail sécuritaires.
  • Mettre en place et soutenir le comité santé et sécurité au travail, en assurant des réunions régulières et une participation active des travailleurs.
  • Élaborer et communiquer des plans d’intervention d’urgence et d’évacuation spécifiques à l’établissement.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes interfonctionnelles pour résoudre les enjeux SSE et promouvoir des améliorations.
  • Coordonner la déclaration et la gestion des cas de blessures et de maladies professionnelles; maintenir un registre de tous les incidents en milieu de travail et veiller à leur investigation et déclaration en temps utile à la CNESST et à l’équipe SSE corporative.
  • Surveiller et assurer le respect de l’ensemble des lois et règlements en santé et sécurité du travail applicables au Québec.
  • Assurer une communication SSE cohérente à travers l’organisation afin de favoriser une culture de sécurité d’excellence.
  • Faire des heures supplémentaires au besoin pour soutenir la production.
  • Effectuer toute autre tâche assignée.

Profil requis : Exigences :

  • Baccalauréat en génie, en sciences de l’environnement ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • Minimum de 3 ans d’expérience en SSE en milieu manufacturier.
  • Connaissances avancées des réglementations et des méthodologies SSE.
  • Expérience en investigation d’incidents, évaluation des risques et mise en œuvre d’actions correctives.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et en animation de formations.
  • Maîtrise des outils informatiques.
  • Bilinguisme anglais / français.
  • Atouts  :

  • Titre de spécialiste en sécurité enregistré du Canada (CRSP® / PSAC®).
  • Certification en premiers soins reconnue par la CNESST.
  • Autres certifications pertinentes en sécurité ou en génie des procédés (p. ex. CSP, CIH, CHMM).
  • Expérience des règlements de la CNESST et des exigences EHS spécifiques au Québec.
  • Contraintes physiques :

  • Station debout : capacité à rester debout jusqu’à 8 heures par quart.
  • Port de charges : capacité à soulever jusqu’à 15 kg.
  • Capacité à travailler dans des environnements comportant du bruit, des produits chimiques, des poussières, des objets tranchants, des pièces mécaniques mobiles / rotatives et des variations de température.

    EHS Specialist Position Summary

    Reporting directly to the Production Director, the EHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance while driving continuous improvement in EHS programs and culture. This role develops and implements EHS programs, conducts training, investigates incidents, and creates work instructions. The EHS Specialist supports operations, collaborates across departments to resolve challenges, and leads initiatives to foster a world-class safety culture.

    What You Will Do :

  • Develop, implement, and annually update a comprehensive prevention program in accordance with Quebec regulations and aligned with company objectives, collaborating with local staff and corporate EHS.
  • Monitor and measure EHS performance using KPIs and metrics; proactively identify and implement corrective actions for off-track metrics.
  • Analyze EHS data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement and drive continual improvement.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure EHS compliance, promote safe behaviors, and adherence to EHS requirements.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on EHS topics for all employees in accordance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Create and maintain training records, safety programs, compliance records, incident records, and safety programs.
  • Investigate incidents, perform root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to mitigate EHS risks and ensure safe work practices.
  • Establish and support the workplace health and safety committee, ensuring regular meetings and effective worker participation.
  • Develop and communicate facility-specific emergency response and evacuation plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve EHS issues and drive improvements.
  • Coordinate workplace injury and illness case reporting and management. Maintain a register of all workplace incidents, and ensure timely investigation and reporting to CNESST and corporate EHS.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all current Quebec OHS legislations.
  • Establish consistent EHS communication across the organization to foster a world-class safety culture.
  • Work overtime as needed to support production.

  • What You Need to Succeed :

    Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of EHS regulations and methodologies.
  • Experience with incident investigation, risk assessment, and corrective action implementation.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French Canadian.
  • Preferred :

  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP® / PSAC®) designation.
  • First Aid Certification recognized by CNESST.
  • Other relevant safety or process engineering certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM).
  • Experience with CNESST regulations and Quebec-specific EHS requirements.
  • Physical Demands :

  • Standing Duration : Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
  • Lifting Requirements : Ability to lift up to 15 kg.
