Job description

Job Title: Ecommerce Solution Architect (SAP Commerce Cloud)
Location: Markham, ON
Duration: 6 Months

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered:

  • Extensive ecommerce experience and familiarity with the latest capabilities in the space.
  • Exposure and usage of major ecommerce platforms such as SAP Commerce Cloud, Magento, Mirakl, Punchouts, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of backend technologies and how to maximize their strengths, including SAP Commerce Cloud, SAP S4, ElasticSearchSolr, Redis, MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
  • Advocate and enabler of strong quality controls (unit, integration, acceptance testing frameworks and methodologies) using industry-leading tooling like Junit, SonarCloud, Jmeter, Webdriver.io.
  • Proficiency in one or more major cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure, but Google Cloud, AWS, or others are also acceptable.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native methodologies and containerization technologies such as Docker, ContainerD, Kubernetes (K8S, K3S), and container registries and artifact tools like Artifactory, GCR, ACR, ECR.
  • Applied knowledge of vertical and horizontal scaling of systems and services, including microservice, monolithic, WebQueueWorker, and distributed systems architectural patterns.
  • Understanding of REST, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture principles and best practices, including tooling like PubSub, Kafka.
  • Experience with APM, distributed tracing techniques, monitoring, and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch, EFK/ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry, Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic.
  • Strong understanding and application of oAuth2, Spiffes, and other Authz and Authn best practices and tooling.
  • Strong competence in a range of programming languages and associated frameworks, including Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SpringBoot, ReactJS, NextJS, TailwindCSS.
  • Knowledge of diagramming tools and methodologies such as Miro, Diagrams.net, Figjam, Mermaid.JS.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Prior work experience at the client or in the client's industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Digital: HYBRID App Development.
  • Experience with Digital: Microservices.
  • Experience with SAP Commerce Cloud.
