Job description
We are seeking a full-time Injection Molding Machine Operator to join our client’s growing team. Ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting, this role offers a stable schedule with competitive rates. Advantages
- Pay Rate: $23-25/hr
- Schedule: Afternoon or Midnight shifts available
- Location: Durham Region


Responsibilities
- Drive the development of new manufacturing technologies (such as NC coiling machines) and integrate them into both product development and standard production lines.
- Oversee the fabrication of experimental prototypes, pre-production samples, and qualification runs for newly designed springs and recently acquired coiling machinery.
- Manage the complete operational cycle—including setup, startup, execution, shutdown, and troubleshooting—of automatic spring winding equipment.
- Monitor and fine-tune machine configurations during operation to eliminate part defects, minimize scrap material, and maximize cycle efficiency.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance, diagnose minor equipment issues, and execute basic machinery rebuilds as needed.
- Strictly adhere to all established workplace safety protocols and procedures.
- Complete additional tasks and related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications
- High school diploma combined with minimum 3 years of experience with spring winding machinery.
- Strong mechanical problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform routine computer data entry and system queries.
- Ability to strictly follow verbal and written directions, including technical diagrams, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Physically able to stand, walk, and bend for long periods while actively setting up, operating, and maintaining plant machinery.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull heavy materials and machine parts weighing up to and exceeding 60 lbs.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and step in to assist or relieve other department personnel when needed.
