MatchBox Consulting Group is searching for a Back-End Developer (C#) (6-month contract role) for our client in the Finance industry. The office is in Downtown Vancouver and the role requires the person to work on-site in the office Monday to Thursday and then remote on Friday.

Role and Responsibilities :

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into backend technical designs and solutions.

Design and build secure, scalable, and data-driven backend services and APIs.

Ensure solutions meet standards for performance, reliability, testability, and maintainability.

Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Communicate progress and issues clearly with Business Analysts and Project Managers.

Develop using C# .NET, SQL / NoSQL databases, and Azure cloud technologies.

Skills and Qualifications :

Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience with strong object-oriented programming skills.

3–5 years of professional experience developing C# .NET applications.

Strong experience with SQL Server / T-SQL and database-driven systems.

Familiarity with cloud development (preferably Azure) and RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools.

Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Experience with React and Agile / Kanban environments is a plus.
