Job description
Job Title: Production Worker – Stacking and Assembly (Day Shift)
Job Description

This production role focuses on stacking and assembly work to support the manufacturing of high-quality power distribution components. You will work with blueprints and diagrams, operate hand and power tools, and assemble core units that form part of power distribution equipment. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a small, team-oriented production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the stacking and assembly area to support all aspects of the production process.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams to understand product specifications and assembly requirements.
  • Cut metal pieces to precise lengths using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Use a table clamp and other fixtures to secure materials during cutting and assembly.
  • Assemble two main core unit types, including small cores and large cores, according to specifications.
  • Stack metal pieces together to form cores and ensure proper alignment and fit.
  • Apply epoxy to secure assembled cores to their base and ensure a strong bond.
  • Use temporary tape to hold assembled units together during the curing or handling process.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools, including hammers and shears, to align cores and complete assembly tasks.
  • Inspect assembled cores to confirm they meet dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to assemble core products that are used in power distribution units.
  • Follow established production procedures and work instructions to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines while working with tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Demonstrate willingness to learn and apply basic electrical concepts related to the product and assembly process.

  • Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers and shears.
  • Experience using power tools in a production or assembly environment.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work accurately from technical documentation.
  • Comfort working in a team-based production environment.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and develop electrical knowledge related to the role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a small manufacturing or production facility.
  • Familiarity with assembling components for power distribution or similar equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to different tasks within stacking and assembly as production needs change.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication skills for collaborating with team members on the production floor.
  • Openness to cross-training and learning additional aspects of the production process.
Why Work Here?

You will join a small, collaborative production team where your work directly contributes to high-quality power distribution products.
