Who we are looking for:
We are looking for Sr.Mgr DPI Tech and Systems , Reporting to the Sr. Director of Cable Access Technology & Performance DevOps, you will be accountable for leading our Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) Technology and Control Systems team. You will be responsible for defining the technology roadmap and overseeing technology selection, as well as establishing, updating, and maintaining the engineering design. You will work with dynamic teams across the Wireline Engineering organization to provide insights into our network and manage critical control systems that enable our organization to connect to essential platforms.
What you will do:
- Build and Mentor a High-Performing Team: Head the Deep Packet Inspection Technology and Control Systems team. Manage, coach, and develop a multi-tiered group of Senior and Junior engineers, balancing strategic architectural delegation with hands-on mentorship.
- Drive Technology Strategy: Define the team's technology roadmap, oversee the selection of new technologies, and drive the evolution of our platform architecture.
- Manage Engineering Design: Establish, update, and maintain the core engineering designs for your domain.
- Oversee Modern Critical Systems: Manage vital control systems and DPI technologies, guiding the team's operations, scaling, and transition within modern technical environments.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work alongside dynamic teams across the wider Wireline Engineering organization to generate and share valuable insights about the network.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Foster team growth through experience, knowledge transfer, knowledge repository management, and process socialization.
- Ensure System Integrity: Automate workflows and establish strict controls to maintain system integrity and reliability.
- Deliver Operational Excellence: Ensure the timely delivery of all projects and successfully resolve any incidents or escalations within defined SLAs.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who has proven, exceptional communication capabilities. They will possess very strong problem-solving skills and must be able to present a strong sense of confidence, focus, and leadership to other stakeholders.
What you bring:
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of Telecommunications Service Platform Management and Design experience required.
- Leadership: Proven experience managing mixed-seniority engineering teams, including hiring, career development, and technical coaching for both junior contributors and senior engineering resources.
- Cloud & Infrastructure Expertise: Deep technical expertise in managing and scaling Cloud Infrastructure and Server environments, with hands-on architectural and administrative knowledge of Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, and VMware Tanzu.
- DevOps & Automation: Strong understanding of container orchestration, microservices architecture, and advanced CI/CD pipelines relevant to telecom and DevNetOps platforms. Knowledge of automation frameworks and AI-based technologies is highly preferred.
- Strategic Vision: Demonstrated experience building delivery roadmaps and collaborating with Senior Leadership through complex technological transformations.
- Agility: Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
- Drive: Results-oriented mindset with a determination to constantly improve performance and team output.
