STUDENT OPERATIONS ASSISTANT File Number : SV25-165 Position Type : Temporary Full-Time Number of Positions : Two (2) Hourly Rate : $21.22 - $23.25 per hour Hours of Work : 40 hours per week Department : Transportation and Operations Services Department Employee Group : Non-Union Work Location : 31 Wallbridge Crescent Belleville and other locations within the City Closing Date : February 20, 2026 at 4 : 30 PM PURPOSE AND SCOPE : Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisors, or designates, the Student Operations Assistant assists department staff with inspection work in relation to transportation operations, and any other municipal work as required; uses GPS for inspection; technical work as required; office work as required, including scanning of documents, filing data input, and other work as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : Completed High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Currently enrolled in a program of study in engineering technology at a community college / university and returning in the fall of 2026.
Possess a valid “G” driver’s license and provide a clean driver’s abstract.
Strong organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AutoCAD.
