Job Title: Electrical Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
The Electrical Quality Control Inspector independently manages day-to-day coordination activities between owner project requirements, technical standards, and integrator execution through assembly, testing, and commissioning. This role leads documentation, quality oversight, commissioning readiness, and communication efforts, acting as a key technical resource for electrical equipment being assembled and tested at integration facilities. The position offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, technically complex data center infrastructure programs and to support critical power systems such as switchgear and UPS assemblies prior to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with internal technical teams and the integrator point of contact to confirm and align on the integrator’s scope of work.
- Collaborate with internal teams and the integrator point of contact to establish inspection cadence and quality checkpoints for each piece of equipment.
- Provide technical coordination and input to internal resources, the owner, and the integrator point of contact on commissioning scripts executed at the integrator facility.
- Plan and coordinate installation means and methods in alignment with the design basis, verifying compliance with specifications and workmanship quality.
- Oversee integrator activities to ensure work is performed in accordance with defined electrical and quality specifications, providing hands-on technical expertise as needed.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including photos, checklists, punch lists, and inspection records, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Proactively communicate project status, risks, and issues to project leadership, the integrator point of contact, and the customer to maintain transparency and alignment.
- Serve as the onsite point of contact at integration facilities and escalate issues as needed to maintain schedule and project momentum.
- Perform detailed quality inspections and visual inspections on assembled electrical equipment, including skids with switchgear and UPS systems.
- Support commissioning readiness by verifying that equipment, documentation, and quality checkpoints meet project and technical requirements.
- Enforce QA/QC standards and quality expectations in challenging environments, working closely with trades, contractors, and integrator teams.
- Use Procore or similar tools to document inspections, track progress, manage punch lists, and support strong documentation workflows.
- Coordinate with integrators, contractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment on installation and commissioning plans.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes and inspection practices across integration facilities.
- Participate in large-scale data center infrastructure projects, supporting the end-to-end lifecycle from assembly and inspection through commissioning readiness.
Essential Skills
- 3–5 years of hands-on electrical trade experience, with journeyman or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of commissioning processes for switchgear systems.
- Strong working knowledge of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems.
- Strong working knowledge of ATS (Automatic Transfer Switching) systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams.
- Ability to read and interpret submittals and technical specifications.
- Experience working in quality inspection, QA/QC, or commissioning environments.
- Demonstrated ability to perform wiring, electrical inspection, and visual inspection tasks with high accuracy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within integration facilities and with multiple stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite at integration facilities and to travel if required.
- Procore experience or the ability to learn Procore quickly and use it to document inspections and progress.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs safely.
- WHMIS training.
- CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety training.
- First Aid/CPR certification (required within the first 30 days if not current).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience working on data center projects.
- Experience in integration facilities or modular skid assembly environments.
- Experience with electrical commissioning activities and processes.
- Familiarity with Schneider Electric equipment or related certifications.
- Proficiency with Procore, including strong documentation and workflow management capabilities.
- Experience providing QA/QC oversight and enforcing standards in challenging or fast-paced environments.
- Exposure to data center infrastructure and critical power systems, including switchgear and UPS assemblies.
- Interest in developing deeper expertise in critical power systems and data center infrastructure.
- Ability to balance hands-on field work with detailed documentation and reporting responsibilities.
- Availability to begin work in July–August 2026, with hiring targeted by May/June.
Work Environment
The environment is technically complex and project-driven, offering exposure to large-scale data center infrastructure programs, critical power systems, and long-duration projects. This will require to be on site 5 days a week.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
