Description

What do you think of when you hear the name MNP? Most likely tax and accounting, but as one of Canada’s largest consulting organizations, we’re so much more! We’re also serious about technology.

Make an impact with MNP Digital as a Manager, Cyber Advisory. The successful candidate plays a key leadership role in delivering cybersecurity strategy, risk management, and transformation services to clients across diverse industries. This position combines deep cyber expertise with strong consulting acumen, enabling organizations to strengthen their security posture, modernize their cyber capabilities, and navigate an evolving threat landscape.

The Manager leads client engagements end-to-end, oversees multidisciplinary teams, and contributes to business development and practice growth. This role is ideal for a cybersecurity professional who excels at translating complex technical concepts into actionable business strategies.

At MNP Digital, we’re a team of highly skilled and creative thinkers that continuously support and learn from each other. We pride ourselves on translating our clients’ challenges into real results by leveraging technology – and that all starts with having the right people to deliver. We’ve created an environment where you’ll continuously grow, always have a voice and collaborate on work that’s meaningful and fulfilling. If you’re ready to take your career into your own hands, you’ve come to the right place.

Responsibilities

Client Delivery & Advisory

  • Lead the delivery of cybersecurity consulting engagements, including assessments, strategy development, roadmap creation, and implementation support.
  • Advise clients on cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SOC 2).
  • Conduct cybersecurity maturity assessments and develop tailored improvement plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Support clients in designing and implementing cyber governance, risk management, and compliance programs.
  • Provide guidance on emerging cyber domains such as cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), data protection, and incident readiness.

Project & Team Leadership

  • Manage project teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables, effective communication, and on time execution.
  • Mentor and coach consultants and analysts, fostering skill development and high performance.
  • Coordinate cross functional resources, including technical specialists, risk experts, and external partners.
  • Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.

Business Development

  • Support proposal development, RFP responses, and client presentations.
  • Identify new opportunities within existing accounts and contribute to practice growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.

Thought Leadership & Practice Development

  • Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, and accelerators for the Cyber Advisory practice.
  • Stay current on emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes to inform client recommendations.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, webinars, and internal knowledge sharing sessions.

Skills and Experience

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, business, or a related field; Master’s degree an asset.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in cybersecurity consulting, cyber risk management, or security operations.
  • Experience leading client engagements and managing consulting teams.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), IAM, data protection, vulnerability management, or incident response.
  • Ability to translate technical risks into business focused recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional certifications are an asset (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor).

What Success Looks Like

  • Delivering high impact cyber advisory engagements that strengthen client security posture.
  • Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Leading teams with clarity, empathy, and accountability.
  • Contributing to the growth and reputation of the Cyber Advisory practice.
  • Relevant work experience in deploying and managing SIEM solutions.
