Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
We are looking for a Manager, Training, to join our growing National Claims Learning & Development (L&D) team.
Reporting to the Director, National Claims L&D, you will play a key role in the performance and engagement of a management team that supports trainers responsible for delivering technical training and onboarding of new employees in Claims.
As a mobilizing leader, you will work closely with all managers of the National Claims L&D team. You will contribute to developing your management team and strengthening the skills of Claims teams, while taking into account the operational realities of the different regions.
What you will accomplish with us:
· Lead, support, and develop a team of two Unit Managers in an inclusive and motivating environment (planning, coaching, feedback, performance, leadership skills development).
Ensure cohesion and alignment across regions to deliver an excellent learning experience.
Guide your teams by providing clarity on priorities and expectations, while removing obstacles to the team’s success.
Ensure training programs are consistent, engaging, and grounded in operational reality.
Work closely with various training teams to ensure onboarding content remains accurate, up to date, and aligned with operations, products, and business priorities—acting as the link between what is designed and how it is delivered.
Ensure that the trainers consistently apply best practices in facilitation to maximize trainee engagement, skill acquisition, and on-the-job transfer.
Represent the voice of new employees and trainers in discussions with fellow managers, bringing field insights to inform decisions about the roadmap and priorities.
Track success metrics and outcomes, including business results, return on investment, and clearly demonstrated new behaviors.
Support change adoption and continuous improvement.
Build a high-performance culture where team members can do their best work and stay current on developments in their field.
Encourage diversity of thought and leverage expertise within the team to provide comprehensive support to clients.
What you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in administration, education or equivalent work-related experience
Experience leading a team, training operations, enablement, knowledge management, or learning operations in a complex environment.
You are a trusted colleague and are recognized for your collaboration, leadership, your ability to influence, coach and positively engage your team and business partners.
Strong prioritization and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, dependencies, and tight timelines.
You have proven achievements in continuous improvement and work methodology.
You have a strategic vision of training and change management for a large organization.
You demonstrate a great ability to challenge the status quo and to be creative and innovative.
Strong understanding of how knowledge, training content, digital learning, and coordination come together to support frontline performance.
Comfort with learning and knowledge tools (e.g., LMS/LXP, knowledge bases, SharePoint) and using data to guide decisions and improvements.
Bilingual English and French is a strong asset.
