Our Automation & Digitalization division is currently seeking an Electrical & Controls Project Engineer or Technologist to join our Terrace, BC office. This position would be responsible for the design, development, and delivery of high-quality, innovative electrical and control engineering projects that improve plant productivity, reliability, and sustainability for our North American customers.
Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following :
- Collaborate with customers and coworkers to solve the customer's operational challenges and support their system upgrade projects;
- Audit industrial facilities and develop preliminary engineering designs and estimates for electrical and control system upgrades;
- Design industrial LV and MV electrical power systems, including equipment specifications, motor control and grounding systems, cable and raceway sizing and layouts, and electrical room design;
- Prepare and evaluate tender and construction packages, including electrical and instrumentation drawings, installation specifications, and other supporting documentation;
- Complete electrical, control and instrumentation system design including P&ID drawings, control system and network architecture, and instrumentation systems;
- Design control strategies to optimize performance, and program and configure DCS and PLC / HMI applications;
- Perform system checkout, testing, and commissioning.
