Providing occasional evening virtual workshops to parents and caregivers in the areas of articulation, motor speech, and stuttering. Services are primarily provided within schools throughout York Region during the school year, however, service is also provided within a clinic setting or provided to the family virtually during the summer months. Providing therapy to Kindergarten-aged children in the areas of articulation, motor speech, stuttering and voice who are eligible to receive school-based rehabilitation services, funded through the Children’s Treatment Network. Carrying a caseload under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist. Documenting in the Children Treatment Network’s shared electronic record. Engaging in regular communication with parents and caregivers in order to provide home programming to the family.

Communicative Disorders Assistant Diploma. Previous experience working with children providing school-based rehabilitation services is preferred. Valid driver’s license. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard. Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital-related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.
