Job description
We are partnering with a rapidly growing automation company within the food and bakery manufacturing space, delivering end-to-end production solutions across North America and Europe. This organization designs and builds high-speed, fully automated processing and packaging lines.

This role is ideal for a hands-on Robotics Programmer who thrives in a project-based environment and enjoys working across the full lifecycle—from design and programming through to on-site commissioning and installations.

Advantages
Work on custom, high-speed automated production lines (not repetitive plant maintenance)
Exposure to cutting-edge robotics and global automation projects
Opportunity to be involved in full system builds and international installations
Competitive compensation package (90-120K base) including benefits, RRSP matching, and development opportunities
Strong career growth within a scaling, innovation-driven organization
Collaborative engineering environment with access to latest automation technologies
Gym membership discount + tuition reimbursement

Responsibilities
Program and integrate industrial robotic systems and automation equipment for custom production lines
Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs to support system functionality and performance
Support full project lifecycle including design input, build, testing, commissioning, and startup
Perform on-site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer facilities
Optimize robotic cell performance including cycle times, motion paths, and system efficiency
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to ensure seamless system integration
Develop technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, and user manuals
Provide ongoing technical support, including remote diagnostics and on-site service
Ensure systems meet safety standards and operational requirements

Qualifications
5+ years of experience in robotics programming and automation controls
Hands-on experience with industrial robots (ABB, FANUC, KUKA, or equivalent)
Strong programming capability in RAPID or equivalent robotic language
Experience with PLC platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMI systems
Proven experience with robotic cell integration and commissioning
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
Experience working in system integrator, OEM, or project-based environments
Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and automation systems
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% for project work and commissioning

Summary
We appreciate all applicants, however only those qualified will be contacted for this role!
