Job Title: Forklift Operator - NightJob DescriptionAs a Forklift Operator, you will spend 50% of your time operating a forklift and the other 50% utilizing an ERP system for manual picking and systematic transactions. You will be moving towards RF scanning. You will handle ingredients stored at various temperatures, requiring entry into fridges, freezers, and warm rooms. Following a work order, you will prepare for the next day, lift up to 50lbs during palletizing, and participate in shipping and receiving activities.
Responsibilities
- Operate a forklift and engage in manual picking using an ERP system.
- Transition to RF scanning for systematic transactions.
- Handle and move ingredients stored at various temperatures, including fridges, freezers, and warm rooms.
- Prepare orders based on work orders for the next day.
- Lift and repeatedly handle up to 50lbs during palletizing.
- Engage in shipping and receiving tasks, including loading products onto trailers.
- Move raw materials and finished products to shipping doors within the warehouse.
Essential Skills- Forklift operation and certification.
- Material handling, picking, loading, and unloading skills.
- Experience in general labor and production environments.
- Proficiency in shipping and receiving processes.
- Ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly.
- Experience using an ERP system and RF scanner.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- 6 months to 1 year of experience operating a forklift and walkie forklift (externally certified).
- GMP experience is a plus.
- AZ license is a nice-to-have qualification.

Work Environment
The facility produces granola bars with nuts, requiring adherence to GMP standards. The environment is clean and smells of chocolate, caramel, and nuts, so candidates must not have peanut allergies. While the temperature is generally controlled, it can get warm during the summer. The warehouse, attached to the production floor, features tighter aisles necessitating cautious forklift operation. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required includes a long-sleeved lab coat, hair net, steel toe shoes, gloves, and no jewelry. Night shifts run from 11 pm to 7:30 am.
