Paladin Security is Hiring Security Guards!

Location: Powell River, BC (On-Site)
Schedule: Full-Time (Days, Nights, Weekends as needed)
Pay Rate: $19–$21/hour
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview

Paladin Security is currently seeking professional and customer-focused Security Guards to join our team across multiple sites in Powell River, including retail locations, malls, mobile patrol, and events.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills, situational awareness, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will play a key role in maintaining safety, supporting the public, and responding to incidents as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service while building strong relationships with clients, tenants, and patrons
• Write clear and detailed reports (incident, emergency, liability, and daily reports)
• Monitor and report security breaches, hazards, and emergency situations
• Contact emergency responders when required
• Provide first aid and medical assistance when needed
• Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure safety of personnel and property
• Use radios and computer systems to communicate site activities
• Perform crowd control and remove trespassers when necessary

Requirements

• Valid BC Security License or ability to obtain a BC Security Worker License
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Physically fit and able to walk for extended periods
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

Nice to Have

• 6+ months of security experience or customer service experience
• Valid OFA 1 (or higher) certification
• Class 5 or Class 7 N BC Driver’s License (for mobile patrol roles)
