Job description

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is currently seeking an experienced Welder to join their production team in Barrie, Ontario.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity on the day shift, offering competitive pay and a stable work environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on welding experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday
Pay: $23.00/hour
Benefits: To be discussed upon hire

What You’ll Do

  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions
  • Measure, prepare, and weld metal components to specification
  • Set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment safely
  • Assemble welded parts according to production and quality standards
  • Inspect finished work to ensure accuracy and workmanship
  • Follow all health and safety procedures, including the use of PPE
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
  • Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality expectations
  • Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and teamwork

What We’re Looking For

  • CWB welding certification or a minimum of 3+ years of welding experience
  • Experience welding steel and aluminum
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination
  • Experience with metal fabrication tools and equipment
  • Exposure to welding robots, CNC plasma, press brakes, or CNC shear equipment is an asset
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Working Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility and involves working on a production floor with exposure to noise, dust, and industrial equipment.
