Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development & Client Manager to join a premier systems integration and industrial automation provider based out of Mississauga, ON. This role serves as a critical bridge between municipal/industrial client operations and our internal engineering teams, driving long-term strategic growth in the water and wastewater automation space.

Advantages
Stable Market Leader: Backed by a multi-billion dollar global parent company with deep financial stability and long-tenured leadership.

Inherited Book of Business: Direct ownership and farming rights of an existing ~$5M multi-client portfolio across Southern Ontario.

Robust Internal Support: Full backing from dedicated internal execution teams across PLC programming, OT systems, panel assembly, field service, and project management.

Lucrative Equity & Incentive Program: Industry-leading global stock purchase plan offering matching free shares alongside performance bonuses.

Responsibilities
Manage and grow an established $5M book of accounts while identifying and converting new business opportunities across municipal water/wastewater facilities in Southern Ontario.

Serve as a trusted technical advisor to municipal operators, plant superintendents, and non-technical stakeholders on SCADA upgrades, PLC integration, instrumentation, and control panel retrofits.

Execute a balanced 50/50 sales approach focused on both long-term account development and targeted market hunting.

Collaborate closely with internal Project Management, Engineering, and Service teams to ensure seamless project handoff and service delivery.

Conduct regular field visits, site evaluations, and client meetings across the region (Huntsville to Windsor to Ottawa).

Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, Technical Sales, or Business Development within the Water / Wastewater sector.

Working knowledge or functional understanding of SCADA systems, PLCs, industrial control panels, and instrumentation.

Proven ability to consult with municipal clients, general contractors, or engineering consultants.

Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for regional travel across Southern Ontario.

Background or degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Systems Integration, or related technical field is a strong asset.

Summary
This is a high-visibility Senior Client Manager opportunity based in the Greater Toronto Area overseeing water and wastewater automation projects across Southern Ontario. The role blends technical consultation with 50% account farming and 50% new market development. The compensation package features a base salary of $100,000 – $120,000 CAD, an annual performance bonus, full benefits, and an exceptional global stock matching plan.
