On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Sr. Network Security Engineer – Substation Firewalls to join our Client's team on a 12-month contract basis. This role is Hybrid (1-2 days onsite per week) , and the Client is based in Burnaby, BC .

Summary of the Role :

The Sr. Network Security Engineer - Substation Firewalls will be responsible for developing standards and templates for Cisco ISA3000, IE3400, FMC, IND, SD-WAN, and other secure network infrastructure. The role includes maintaining network security tools, troubleshooting complex security issues, and collaborating with internal teams and vendors to support secure network operations.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Monitor and maintain network and security tools, including ArcSight ESM, SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Rugged NMS Alcatel SAM / CPAM, Service Portal Express, and Splunk Enterprise.
• Execute bug fixes, troubleshoot network issues, and document root cause analysis.
• Manage and troubleshoot user access and metadata security in Cariden Mate Design Collector.
• Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving security alerts while updating stakeholders.
• Contribute to projects related to network and security tools, including upgrades and enhancements.
• Develop technical documentation, including requirements, designs, and procedures.
• Support NERC administrative documentation and security process standardization.
• Research emerging network and security technologies and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical expertise on network and security solutions to various teams.

ArcSight ESM, ConAPP, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco IOS, ASA.
