Your Day To Day
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for technical assignments involving maximizing manufacturability and maintaining timely product flow for the assigned products. The Manufacturing Engineer will implement and maintain efficient manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures; coordinate the introduction of new products into manufacturing; and identify and solve production-related problems for assigned products.
You Will Be Accountable For
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining methods, operation sequences, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
- Interfacing with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
- Estimating manufacturing costs, determining time standards, process qualifications, work instructions, and making recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and existing product lines.
- Creating and maintaining required documentation for manufacturing processes, process-failure-mode-effects-analysis, value-stream-maps, capacity and utilization studies, time and motion studies, standard work, cycle time analysis, and line balancing.
- Researching and testing design ideas to determine feasibility, utilizing lean manufacturing, kaizen, Six Sigma, poka-yoke, and root-cause analysis to formulate and support innovation, corrective actions, and improvements.
- Developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Collaborating with Quality Engineering to monitor product yield and provide product factory / field failure root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
