Job description
Finance & Accounting Analyst

Our client is seeking a Finance & Accounting Analyst to support financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting activities across the organization. This role is responsible for preparing internal and external financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring performance against targets, and assisting with continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting and financial analysis, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Prepare monthly and annual internal financial statements, reports, and statistical analyses
  • Assist with the preparation of external financial statements and regulatory reporting
  • Compile documentation and schedules for month‑end and year‑end close activities
  • Contribute assigned sections of management and branch‑level reporting packages
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and peer benchmarks
  • Support the development of annual operating and capital budgets and financial forecasts
  • Maintain and enhance spreadsheets and financial models used for budgeting, forecasting, and decision support
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests and documentation
  • Review and analyze general ledger accounts and support reconciliations
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, controls, and reporting efficiency
  • Support compliance with applicable accounting standards and reporting frameworks
  • Monitor liquidity and cash‑flow trends and support short‑term investment analysis
  • Assist with foreign exchange analysis, transactions, and position monitoring
  • Support fixed asset tracking, depreciation inputs, accruals, and month‑end reporting
  • Provide general support to finance leadership and accounting teams as required
Your strengths include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Progress toward, or completion of, a professional accounting designation (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong skills across Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and capable of working independently
