You will liaise with industry professionals and information partners to achieve objectives and work closely with internal teams.
What's in it for you

Exposure. You will be a part of an organization that works on an exciting range of development projects across the country, a place that is recognized at the top of our industry. You will gain insights through site visits, working across internal teams, and fostering relationships with brokers, planners and developers. You want a role that balances heads-down work with off-site research - that positively impacts the success of an organization.
What you will do :
Conduct research and collect data . On an ongoing basis, you will use a variety of methods from email, industry websites, news media, phone calls and industry networking to collect real estate information.
Conduct site visits . You will gain direct knowledge of properties by planning for site visits and collecting relevant information once on site. This includes taking photographs that meet database standards.
Enter the details and maintain the database. You will enter large amounts of data entry into the database in an accurate and timely manner, to ensure that our real estate data is well maintained and up to date.
Stay on top of trends . You will maintain an understanding of commercial real estate activity, including sales and listings. You will attend industry events and meetings, review professional publications, establish professional networks and contacts, and benchmark best practices.
Follow best practices. You will continuously upgrade your knowledge regarding data collection and commercial real estate industry trends to increase productivity and maintain high standards. You will assist in the establishing and implementing of data governance and standards.
Build relationships. You will foster strong relationships with brokers, stakeholders, planners, and developers to gain data cooperation and collection support. You will be trained by senior team members.
Our new Market Analyst will have :
Education and experience . You have a degree or diploma in Real Estate, Geography, Urban Planning, Business, Economics, or a related discipline. You may have 1+ years in commercial real estate, where you've gained familiarity with collecting data and information about commercial properties. And you have a desire to deepen your knowledge of the commercial real estate and development industries.
Technical skills. You have finely tuned skills in data collection, data interpretation, and compiling information; you know where data resides in the system and how data entries and changes may impact data in other parts of the system. You are proficient with Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Interpersonal skills . You have flexible and effective communication skills, and you can leverage insights, clarify ambiguities, and present complex information in a structured and accessible way. You have the confidence to make phone calls to new contacts to retrieve property / project information and nurture connections in person. You are a team player who can build trusting relationships within and across teams.
Flexibility . You are willing and able to work outside of business hours on occasion; and have a valid driver’s license.
