Financial Analyst

Our client, the Government of Canada is seeking a designated, confident, and analytical Financial Analyst to join their team in a full time, one year contract capacity. The successful candidate will utilize their accounting expertise to manage the monthly full cycle accounting procedures and financial reporting. Responsibilities :

• Complete month end closing procedures, including reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Assist with quarterly and year end procedures
• Guide and support the accounting team, while advising direct reports on potential areas for improvement
• Ensure accounting tasks are completed in line with policies, procedures, and business strategies
• Prepare timely and accurate management reports and assist senior management with special projects as needed
