Position Summary: To take food and drink orders from guests seated within the designated bar and restaurant area in a prompt and courteous manner consistent with a four-diamond dining facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized and exceptional guest service at every given opportunity
• Meeting established up-selling and sales goals
• Make drinks for the lounge guests and restaurant servers, strictly based on orders rung through the Point of Sale system
• Pick-up food from the kitchen and serve it to Guests
• Clear and clean tables after Guests leave
• Keep bar area clean
• Clean the beer fridge
• Fill and put away bar requisition
• Stock bar product and equipment
• Wipe down menus
• To create check, collect payment, and settle transactions following standard operating procedures
• Responsible for cash floats and deposits
• Having a thorough knowledge of Lais Hotel Properties’ products and services
• Suggesting additional product and services meeting our Guests’ specific preferences
• Assessing Guests’ individual needs to meet standards for additional products and services
• Actively seeking ways to meet Guests’ product or service needs
• All other duties as assigned

Professional Requirements:

• Extensive wine and beverage knowledge
• Minimum of 2 years of similar experience in the field
• Diploma in Bartending or Mixology beneficial
• Smart Serve certificate required
• Previous up-selling and/or sales experience is considered an asset
