About Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada

Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) is one of the most influential accounting organizations in the world. As a non-regulatory body comprised of individual CPA members, CPA Canada supports the profession and represents Canadian CPAs at the national and international levels.

Nationally, CPA Canada acts in the public interest to promote transparency in financial markets, prepares CPAs fora rapidly evolving business environment through extensive guidance and programming and contributes to standard setting and policy making. Globally, CPA Canada works together with international bodies to build a stronger accounting profession worldwide.

About the opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Core Products, the Senior Manager, Audit & Accounting Products is responsible for delivering high-quality audit and accounting tools and resources. In this role, the Senior Manager will provide subject matter expertise, foster innovation, and work collaboratively across internal teams, external parties, and volunteer networks.

The Core Products team is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of CPA Canada products, resources, and initiatives to support CPAs in public practice. This team ensures that CPA Canada’s offerings remain relevant, high-quality, and aligned with member and customer needs, market trends, and evolving standards.

  • Changes and developments impacting public practice and the audit ecosystem more broadly, nationally and internationally, including technological advances and tools available to support more efficient and high-quality audits, and the impact of such developments on CPA Canada products and support

  • Engage with and manage volunteer committees, advisory groups, and subject matter experts to inform and enhance product development.

Strategic Leadership & Product Oversight

  • Work with the Core Products team to enhance current product offerings and create new ways of offering value to members/customers in public practice.
  • Monitor trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to ensure CPA Canada remains at the forefront in reporting and assurance.
  • Ensure products are aligned with CPA Canada’s strategic priorities and deliver measurable value to members and the profession.

External Engagement & Collaboration

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external parties, including CPAs, CPA firms, standard setters, regulatory bodies, technology leaders, and other professional organizations and partners.
  • Through engaging with customers and users, understand practitioners’ challenges in various areas of their practice and their evolving needs including those related to continuing professional development.
  • Collaborate with other partners who have complementary interests within the product portfolio, including subject matter experts and technology providers.
  • Lead and manage volunteer advisory committees, including chairing and facilitating meetings.
  • Represent CPA Canada at industry events, conferences, and external meetings.
  • Work closely with others across the organization to integrate reporting and assurance resources with CPA Canada’s broader product portfolio.
  • In conjunction with the Core Products team, oversee all aspects of program design and execution, including: Working closely with program developers such as subject matter experts and interactive e-learning specialists; Working closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure best possible reach and commercial success of products; Working closely with program managers to ensure programs are executed in a timely, professional and cost-effective way.

Quality & Innovation

  • Champion innovation in product formats, delivery methods, and content strategies.
  • Maintain high quality standards through continuous evaluation and improvement processes.
