Job description

About MealSuite

MealSuite builds end-to-end foodservice technology for healthcare and senior living organizations. Our mission is to help care teams deliver better dining experiences with less effort. We’re a fast-growing team working on meaningful problems that directly impact patient and resident care.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and operate the data systems that power analytics and AI across the MealSuite platform. This role will focus on bringing together data from multiple systems and making it consistent, reliable, and easy to use.

You will take ownership of data pipelines, core data models, and integrations across SaaS platforms and internal systems. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Analytics to solve data challenges and ensure the business can rely on shared data for reporting and decision-making.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that ingest and unify data from SaaS platforms, APIs, and internal systems
• Build and improve ELT/ETL workflows and support a reliable, well-structured data warehouse
• Develop and maintain consistent data models and definitions across core business entities
• Improve pipeline reliability through testing, monitoring, alerting, and automated issue resolution
• Work with technical and business stakeholders to solve data integration challenges and improve data trust
• Support strong data practices across data quality, documentation, governance, and warehouse operations
• Lead integration work across systems such as Salesforce and other key business platforms
• Contribute to data architecture decisions and help establish consistent engineering practices

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining data pipelines across multiple systems and platforms
• Strong experience with SQL for data transformation, validation, and modeling
• Hands-on experience with Python (or similar) and API-based data integration
• Experience designing and operating ELT/ETL workflows and supporting a data warehouse in production
• Experience working with cloud data platforms and modern data management practices
• Experience improving data reliability through monitoring, alerting, testing, and troubleshooting
• Experience working with evolving schemas and maintaining structured, analytics-ready datasets
• Comfortable using version control (Git) and working in a collaborative, code-reviewed environment
• Ability to solve ambiguous data problems and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Why You’ll Love Working Here

• Unlimited paid time off – we trust our employees to create balance
• Retirement savings support – RRSP/401(k) matching at 100% up to 3%
• Health benefits – medical, dental, vision, life & disability insurance, and paid parental leave starting day one
• Hybrid flexibility – balance in-person collaboration with remote work
• Work-life balance – 90%+ of employees feel supported by their leaders
• Equity program participation – share in MealSuite’s growth
• Career development opportunities – we support your long-term goals
• Purpose-driven work – our mission aligns with the values of 90%+ of employees

Compensation

$110,000 - $135,000 USD
$115,000 - $140,000 CAD
