Job descriptionOversee daily operations, ensuring the effective delivery of programs and services. Manage and support Volunteers and the Youth Volunteer Corps staff, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with the Board of Directors. Oversee fundraising efforts, including grant applications, donor outreach, and events. Ensure sound financial practices and provide regular updates to the Board on the organization's financial status. Build and maintain relationships with community partners, funders, and key stakeholders Advocate for the organization’s mission and programs at local and provincial level Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and meetings Non-profit experience Proven understanding of nonprofit management, including fundraising, volunteer management, budgeting, and program development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. About Volunteer Airdrie :
Volunteer Airdrie promotes awareness of the power of service with a special focus on youth volunteerism. We builds capacity for effective local volunteering through training and resources for volunteer management, recruitment, promoting awareness and advocating on issues related to volunteerism and volunteer programs.
Position Summary :
The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of Volunteer Airdrie and the primary administrator. They are responsible for overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will oversee the organization's programs, staff, and financial health, ensuring alignment with its mission and values. As a small organization, this role will include social media management, event planning, database management, communication management, grant writing and fundraiser planning.
