Role Title: Physics (PhD)

Role Type: Contractor

Location: Remote

micro1 is engaging Physics (PhD) experts to contribute their advanced knowledge to a high-impact AI development project for a customer. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters. This opportunity is tailored for individuals who are passionate about physics, thrive in analytical environments, and excel at communicating complex concepts both in writing and verbally. As a contributor, your insights will directly influence the evolution of AI models by ensuring technical accuracy and scientific depth.

Scope of Work

  1. Analyze and evaluate real-world physics data, concepts, and scenarios to enhance AI model training.
  2. Generate, review, and refine technical content and problem sets representing advanced physics subject matter.
  3. Provide expert scientific feedback on complex questions and model outputs to ensure technical accuracy and relevance.
  4. Translate intricate physics theories and phenomena into accessible explanations for AI interpretation.
  5. Collaborate with project stakeholders to align deliverables with evolving project objectives.
  6. Participate in quality assurance of training data by identifying gaps and recommending improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Doctorate (PhD) in Physics from an accredited institution.
  2. Extensive background in advanced physical sciences, with strong foundations in both theoretical and applied physics.
  3. Exceptional ability to communicate complex scientific topics clearly, both in writing and verbally.
  4. Experience developing or reviewing educational or technical materials in physics.
  5. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills relevant to scientific research.
  6. Adaptability to evolving project requirements and a proactive approach to new challenges.
  7. Interest or familiarity with AI, data science, or digital training environments is a plus, but not required.

Compensation Structure

Compensation is output-based; experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete work may vary depending on the expert’s experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply. Experts must submit a minimum of tasks per week.

Start Timeline & Availability

We typically fill roles within 48 hours and are looking for experts ready to jump in right away. If selected, we expect you to start your first tasks within 24–48 hours of completing onboarding.
