You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain some of the largest, most advanced equipment in the industry. If you’re safety-focused, resourceful, and take pride in owning your work from start to finish, this role offers real autonomy while being backed by the largest Komatsu dealer in North America.

Base Wage: $53.49 per hour (with an increase to $56.04 after 1 year of continuous service). Additional premiums and allowances may apply.

  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized or other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Make recommendations regarding extent of repairs and suggest methods of improvement.
  • Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
  • Complete job-specific reports and paperwork as needed.
  • Work safely in challenging environments, including confined spaces, lifting up to 50 lbs., and remote work in adverse weather conditions.

What You Bring

  • Valid Class 5/G driver’s license.
  • Experience with warranty processes and documenting repairs is an asset.
  • Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset.

This position is classified as an Individual Contributor role in SMS Equipment’s competency framework, requiring demonstration of core competencies (customer focus, collaboration, and technical/functional expertise).

At SMS Equipment, safety is one of our core values and we care for each other, without exception. Our successful candidate is intrinsically motivated and committed to making safe choices when completing all tasks.

Pre-Employment

This position is safety sensitive. Candidates may be required to complete:
