The health and safety of our staff is our #1 priority. As you care for others, Monarch House will care for you. As a Behaviour Interventionist (BI) at Monarch House your primary responsibility is implementing programs designed and supervised by a senior clinical team (of speech pathologists, by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst® BCBAs, Occupational therapists and physical therapists) to clients receiving services from Monarch House. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to support skill acquisition and / or decrease maladaptive behaviors while providing an engaging and positive client experience in a fast paced and frequently changing environment.
Job Type : Part-time
Work setup : Centre-based in Panorama, Surrey
Schedule :
Monday, 9 : 30AM - 12 : 30PM and 5PM - 7PM
Saturday, 1 : 30PM - 5 : 30PM
Salary : $21-23 / hr

- Responsible for implementing programs based on best practices.
- Uses systematic methods and behavioural strategies to support client in changing their behaviour
- Contributes to the development of programs established by the clinical team to teach and reinforce a variety of skills for children and youth in a 1 : 1 and / or small group setting
- Understand the functions of behavior and responds appropriately and safely when situations arise
- Adhere to all clinical training, procedures, and protocols
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and / or routine and provide creative solutions
- Responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment for the client
- Support clients with personal care tasks such as dressing, toileting, and eating
- Responsible for maintaining the well-being and safety
