About the Role
Are you an experienced telecommunications professional with a strong technical background in fiber optics and wireless systems? Our client is seeking 2 Technicians to join our Wireless Division.

In this role, you will oversee and complete the installation of critical telecommunications equipment in equipment shelters and ground sites across the province. Working on the ground, you will focus heavily on the technical side of our builds—solving complex problems, interpreting schematics, and maintaining Canada’s wireless infrastructure.

Advantages
Competitive Pay: $36.00 – $48.00/hr depending on experience.

Weekly Pay & Overtime: Get paid weekly, with overtime (OT) rates kicking in after 8 hours daily.

Travel Allowance: Daily LOA (Living Out Allowance) provided while traveling on the road.

Boot Allowance: Boot allowance provided.

Comprehensive Benefits (after 6 months): Full health coverage and RRSP matching.

Equal Opportunity Workplace: Join a supportive, safety-first culture that recognizes and rewards hard work.

Responsibilities
Perform microwave, mobile, cellular design work, and assist with wireless design proposals.

Create bills of materials, scope of work documents, and detailed site/network design documentation.

Perform fiber optic testing and maintenance using OTDR equipment and Fusion Splicers.

Read, comprehend, and apply complex wiring diagrams, network schematics, and layout drawings.

Respond to technical RFPs/RFQs and implement effective telecommunication strategies.

Maintain a professional working relationship with team members, clients, and project managers.

Qualifications
Experience & Education: Minimum 2 years of experience specializing directly in wireless environments and technology. Technologist Diploma, Military training, or certification from a recognized provincial body (e.g., ASET, ASTTBC) preferred.

Technical Skills:
- Strong applied knowledge of Fiber Optics and related testing equipment (OTDR / Fusion Splicer).
- Ability to comprehend complex wiring diagrams and network schematics.
- Telecom, microwave, and SCADA experience are strong assets.
- Exposure to GE MDS wireless products is an asset.

Requirements & Compliance:
- Valid Canadian Driver’s License with a clean driver's abstract.
- Clean criminal record check.
- Must pass Drug & Alcohol (D&A) testing as required for select job sites.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Work Conditions: Physically demanding workload (heavy lifting, climbing ladders/poles, crawling in confined spaces, and working in all weather conditions). Flexible to work inconsistent shifts (days, evenings, weekends) and maintain high on-call availability.
