Job description

Job description

HireArt is helping our client find a Quality Technician (Server Racks-BOTs/Control Modules/Flex) to support the build, testing, and troubleshooting of complex, software-controlled electromechanical systems critical to the company’s autonomous vehicle platform.

In this role, you’ll perform quality control activities across the server racks (BOTs), electronic modules, and flex production lines, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This position includes inspection, issue debugging, documentation, and process improvement support.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong, and experienced in serialized production environments involving complex electromechanical assemblies.

As a Quality Technician (Server Racks-BOTs/Control Modules/Flex), you'll:
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality control (IQC, IPQC, OQC) inspections across rack server assemblies, PCBAs, and electromechanical power and control modules.
  • Utilize precision measurement and test equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, digital multimeters (DVMs), and oscilloscopes.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records within databases and ERP systems.
  • Ensure proper physical and virtual movement of serialized products throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Initiate and manage nonconformance reports, participate in root cause analysis, and coordinate with responsible stakeholders.
  • Support material review board (MRB) disposition activities in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Perform calibration and maintain test and measurement equipment in accordance with ISO requirements.
  • Prepare and submit PPAP documentation for approval.
  • Recommend improvements to inspection processes and quality procedures.
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company safety programs.
  • Perform additional quality-related tasks as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 8+ years of progressive QA experience in a fully or semi-automated serialized production environment involving complex electromechanical assemblies (aerospace, automotive, medical device, robotics, or similar industries)
  • Proficiency with quality control tools, SAP or Oracle ERP systems, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities

Bonus Qualifications:
  • Experience with high-end computer or rack assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or ISO 13485 standards

Benefits:
  • Pre-tax commuter benefits
  • Employer (HireArt) Subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service)
  • Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs
  • HireArt covers all costs for short and long-term disability and life insurance
  • 401k package

Commitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be onsite and available to candidates who are local to the Foster City, CA area.

HireArt values diversity and is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are interested in every qualified candidate who is eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas or employ corp-to-corp.
