Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Lead / Assistant Depot Supervisor to join our clients dynamic team. This role supports the daily coordination of receiving, shipping, inventory, and warehouse staff while ensuring safety, productivity, and quality standards are met. The successful candidate will act as the Depot Supervisor in their absence and lead by example in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00/hour

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily supervision of receiving, shipping, inventory, returns, and warehouse operations
  • Act as Depot Supervisor in their absence
  • Coordinate workflow and assign daily tasks to maximize productivity
  • Supervise inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and on-time performance
  • Lead and support warehouse staff through coaching and training
  • Monitor quality control, inventory accuracy, and warehouse organization
  • Perform administrative duties, including data entry and reporting
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and reach trucks
  • Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience, including supervisory experience in a high-volume distribution environment
  • Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and warehouse/shipping systems
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures and inventory control
  • Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and heavier items when required using safe lifting practices
  • Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and operating warehouse equipment throughout the shift
  • Able to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions
