Job Description

The Division of Vascular Surgery in the Department of Surgery is seeking an experienced, dynamic, team-oriented full-time associate vascular surgeon to help be a part of a comprehensive, fully integrated endovascular program to serve one of the largest patient populations with peripheral vascular disease in Canada. Remuneration is fee-for-service as set by the OHIP Schedule of Benefits, supplemented by an additional top up amount.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide advanced endovascular
  • Provide the full spectrum of vascular care including EVAR, open aneurysm repair, carotid interventions, diagnostic angiography and endovascular interventions, dialysis access surgery, non-invasive vascular assessment and treatments for venous disease

Osler is one of Ontario’s largest community hospital organizations, delivering innovative health care with compassion through more than 650,000 patient interactions every year. With three hospital sites: Brampton Civic Hospital, Etobicoke General Hospital and Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness, we offer a wide range of health services, with care provided by skilled health professionals working in multidisciplinary teams. Osler has created a joint partnership with vascular surgery and interventional radiology, called the endovascular therapeutics program. This partnership leverages the strength of both teams, to provide world-class and state-of-the-art care to patients here at Osler.


Qualifications

  • Certificate of Registration to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and hold Fellowship in Vascular Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
  • Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are considered an asset as we serve a highly diverse population)

Osler is a primary clinical partner for Toronto Metropolitan University School of Medicine and is an academic community partner with the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine and McMaster’s Michael G.
