Job Description

In collaboration with nursing other hospital staff and various community services provides clerical and administrative support to maintain a progressive efficient organized healthcare environment that further enhances the patient and staff experience. The Unit Secretary operates maintains and orders different types of office and hospital equipment and supplies in a fast paced dynamic open concept setting. This position uses EPIC to support effective communications within the area inclusive of case bookings demographic label printing and other EPIC duties as required. Will also be responsible for chart preparation for surgical cases patient flow and post discharge call as required. The unit secretary will respond to telephone inquiries and call bells and communicates with staff patients and families including making post discharge calls.

What must you have

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of Medical Terminology.
