Position Summary:
The Buffet Attendant takes pride in quality food presentation to ensure the best possible culinary experience for casino guests.
Must be collaborative, excel at multi-tasking and display exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Contributes to a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Motivates, leads by example and provides a learning environment. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures. Key Accountabilities:
- Maintains cleanliness of Buffet Line during Open Hours.
- Replenish & Maintains all Hot Buffet food items
- Replenishing of Salad Buffet
- Replenish & Restocking of Dessert Station
- Ensuring all appropriate food utensils available for Guests
- Ensuring buffet line is set Prior to opening
- Assist with break down & Buffet closing duties
- Maintains cleanliness of Ice Cream Machine
- Minimal Preparations of Salad station Condiments
- Supports culinary team to ensure efficient operation of all culinary operations
- Finds ways to play; you are serious about work, without being serious

- Stays focused in order to be there
- Delivers an exceptional entertainment experience to internal and external guests to ensure you make their day
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, employees, vendors and regulators
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- Embraces the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy and has a playful, infectious and "all about the guest" attitude!
- Basic Food Safety Certificate an asset
- Food and Beverage experience is an asset.
- Must be able to work various shifts including nights, back shifts, weekends and holidays.
- Must have excellent customer service skills with guests and co-workers.
- Must be able to lift 25kg.
Work Environment Considerations: Regular kitchen environment; standing and walking for long periods of time; major exposure to heat, cold, steam, noise, odors; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stretching, bending; some exposure to fumes, smoke, chemicals; risk of minor cuts and burns, non-traditional work hours.
