An established self performing residential developer in mid town Toronto has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Project Cost Controller.

About this role
- Supporting a high-volume portfolio of multi-year projects throughout the GTA
- Develop and maintain cost control procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals by providing accurate cost estimates.
- Monitor project expenses and track against budgetary constraints.
- Conduct regular cost variance analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Review contracts, change orders, and invoices to ensure accuracy and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Attending regular project status meetings
- Collaborate with project managers to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in construction cost management
- Special projects
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in a Project Cost Control or related position.
- Extensive experience in cost control, and project management software and techniques.
- Experience with contract administration, and procurement
- Ability to identify, analyze and minimize variances between actual and budgeted costs.
- Experience gathering data and compiling project specific reports.
- Ability to multitask and to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment while interacting with colleagues, clients, and contractors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
