Project Controller
Division : Project Management Office
Work Status : Contract, 12-months (with a possibility to extend)

About the Role :
We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Controller to support our dynamic program. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Projects & PM Practices, you will be the key point of contact for all project financial management.
You'll work closely with project managers to ensure seamless cost tracking, budgeting, invoicing, reporting, and compliance with governance procedures.
You will contribute by : Financial Tracking & Reporting :
Maintain and update the program cost tracker with meticulous accuracy.
Create and submit purchase requisitions efficiently.
Process invoices promptly through our Esker procurement ERP module.
Organize and maintain all project-related financial records for easy access and audits.
Conduct weekly financial reconciliations for each project, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
Generate detailed project cost health reports and distribute them to project managers.
Budget Support :
Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and accounting activities at the program level.
Track capital and operating expense budgets for all project initiatives.
Support project managers in managing their individual project budgets and cost control.
Update budget-related sections in the program steering committee presentation deck.
Process Efficiency :
Issue timely reminders to project managers for timesheet review and to the program manager for timesheet approvals.
Collaborate with project managers to streamline financial processes and optimize efficiency.
Governance & Compliance :
Assist project managers in adhering to governance-related activities and best practices.
Ensure accurate and compliant record-keeping across all projects.
Other Duties :
Perform additional tasks and special projects as assigned by the Program Manager.
Skills and experience you will bring : Education : Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum 2-3 years of experience in project controlling, financial analysis, or a similar accounting role.
Technical Skills :
Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc.)
Experience with procurement ERP modules (Esker experience a plus).
Familiarity with project management software and tools.
