Our commitment to excellence drives our operations, and we are looking for a dedicated Accounts Receivable Team Lead to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview : The Accounts Receivable Team Lead will play a critical role in supporting the accounts receivable functions within our organization.

This role is responsible for managing large, complex corporate accounts, supporting credit applications and new customer setups, and providing guidance to the Accounts Receivable team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable, proven leadership skills, and a keen eye for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities :

Leadership & Team Management : Support a team of AR clerks, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient and accurate accounts receivable operations.

Oversee the handling of large, complex corporate accounts, ensuring timely and accurate processing and resolution of any issues.

Balance the Subledger to GL daily and investigate any discrepancies. Process payments in the accounting software and reconcile customer accounts.

Assist the Accounts Receivable and Credit Manager with credit applications and the setup of new customers.

Process Improvement : Utilize strong Excel skills to analyze and enhance existing processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.

Manage and streamline recurring daily and monthly tasks to optimize the team's productivity.

  • Communication & Support :
  • Provide exceptional support to the team on specific accounts, addressing queries and ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth financial operations.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

  • Education : High school diploma required; a degree or certification in Business Administration or a related field is an asset.
  • Experience : 5-7 years of experience in an accounts receivable role. 1-2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity is preferred.

Experience in the grocery industry is an asset. J.D Edwards knowledge is an asset. EDI and SPS Commerce knowledge is an asset.

  • Skills :
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading a small team and providing training.

Compensation :

Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
