Who you are :
- Must be enrolled in an Engineering co-op (or internship) program at a recognized Canadian university.
- Have Excellent computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing clearly and concisely, using appropriate technical vocabulary.
- Hold a valid Class driver's license.

AMI Program
Discipline : Electrical Engineering Location : Edmonton
Description :
- Assist AMI team on deploying AMI meters, including AMI network design, process documentation, data management, data clean-up,
- Analyze GIS data for existing AMI installation and determine / develop AMI meter procurement plan for future years.
- Assist in communication with internal and external stakeholders, such as Rural Electricity Association, about AMI implementation.

Distribution Design Engineering

Description :
- Prepare designs using AutoCAD for projects compatible with pre-engineered standards, regulations, and meeting customer requirements.
- Calculate structure loading & determine pole class and guy length requirements based on tangential and sheer loading & balancing of static forces.

- Size electrical equipment, wire, cable, and appropriate over-current protective devices

Distribution Standards

Description :
- Creation and maintenance of Distribution standards for power pole structures, overhead and underground materials, design & construction guidelines, and padmount equipment structures.
- Investigate new material for compliance to required codes & specifications and internal practices.
- Investigate and answer questions posed to the Standards team by Design and Construction.
- Review and analyze code changes and impacts to current ATCO standards.
- Support the team in creating and organizing centralized documentation database (DEMS).
- Program DEMS, DCSM and quality assurance workflows.

Work Management
Discipline : Electrical, Civil Engineering Location : Grande Prairie
Description :
- This position is responsible for supporting the Work Management team as they interact with the project and technical groups to stabilize the Work and Asset Management Program.
- Provide exposure and allow direct interactions with the Transmission and Distribution operation teams.
- Activities will include data entry and analysis, retrieving requested information, compiling documentation, process development monitoring and updating are some of the key aspects of this position.
- In addition to these activities this role will support and possibly represent work management in collaboration efforts with other programs such as Grid Modernization and the Customer Experience.
