Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Regional Clinical Operations, the Manager, Regional Center Services is responsible for the effective and efficient management and coordination of center-wide services including facilities related issues, implementation of operational initiatives, infection control processes, volunteer services, occupational health and emergency preparedness plans.

The Manager, Regional Center Services provides leadership and promotes the philosophy and goals of the organization by applying and evaluating standards, policies, practices, and procedures to the assigned areas.

Interact and collaborates with clinical and administrative staff on various initiatives.

What you’ll do

Provide center leadership through the consultation and coordination of various administrative and operational activities;

works closely with clinical staff in order to identify improvements.

  • Develop and implement departmental and organizational goals and objectives, policies and procedures. Develop action plans and coordinate center level systems and strategies to enable effective operations.
  • Lead center wide initiatives and projects that cross various programs / services through to implementation; develop project plans and incorporates change management approaches;

develop communication strategies; monitor projects; provide progress reports and take corrective action to ensure project objectives are met.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, where applicable in order to maintain support services functions. Coordinate renovations, facility improvements and space planning.
  • Provide operational center leadership for Emergency Management and Preparedness on issues, policies and education across the center.

Prepare agenda and co-chair center emergency management committee. Collaborate, work and partner with, PHSA Emergency Management Leads as appropriate.

What you bring

Qualifications :

  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in a Healthcare related field
  • Five (5) years of recent related experience, including two (2) years in a managerial / leadership capacity.

You have :

  • Proven leadership ability, with communication and interpersonal skills conducive to interacting in a multidisciplinary environment and ability to relate easily to a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and to promote teamwork.
  • Critical thinking skills and proven ability to effectively manage human and fiscal resources.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of operational planning and program development.
  • Awareness of and commitment to learning and understanding the Truth & Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (2015), In Plain Sight Report (2020), BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019), and other related reports.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
  • As a strong asset for consideration, we are looking for our successful candidate to have : Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.)
