Corrpro is Canada's largest corrosion engineering, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring business for protecting and preserving infrastructure.
Corrpro provides professional corrosion consulting and cathodic protection engineering services to major oil companies, government agencies, municipal water, sewer and gas utilities, universities, and public transportation agencies.
Corrpro has complete construction installation services, including crews and equipment to install any cathodic protection system for any type of structure.
WHAT YOU’RE RESPONSIBLE FOR :
- Open requisitions using Workday Recruit and confer with hiring managers to assess needs, identify key talent using traditional and innovative recruiting strategies, and create recruiting strategies for each position
- Place advertisements for open positions on various media sites and do sourcing on those sites
- Source candidates, conduct phone screens, schedule interviews with hiring managers, present offers or other feedback to candidates, process candidate information through applicant tracking system and hand off to Human Resource Generalist for pre-employment testing
- Attend Career Fairs and other recruiting functions as needed
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Corrpro Canada leaders, vendors, community organizations, and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility
- Create and foster relationships with colleges and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diverse candidates
- Develop an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate
- Informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices
- Monitor retention of new hires and understand reasons for turnover in order to incorporate this in the recruitment / retention strategy.
- Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company's Quality Management System.
- Coordinate on-boarding of new employees including pre-employment testing, arranging new hire and safety orientation, completion of new hire paperwork and coordinate with HR Generalist for the creation of employee in HR system
- Support the HR Generalist with other tasks and assignments as required
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
- 4 years of recruiting experience required
- Must have knowledge of Provincial employment laws in Alberta, knowledge across Canada helpful
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, an ATS, and Indeed, Workday Recruit experience helpful
- Occasional travel is required. Must have a valid driver’s license with a good standing drivers abstract
