About the Opportunity
TKD Ec Dev Corp is looking for a full-time President based in Prince George, British Columbia .
Reporting to the Board of Directors (interim TKD Executive Director), you will play a pivotal role in creating and implementing a clear sense of direction for the TKD Ec Dev Corp companies and their related businesses, ensuring the Corporation's success.
In this position, you will be primarily responsible for providing strategic leadership, oversight, and management of the TKD Ec Dev Corp companies to achieve the Corporation's vision, mission, and goals.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Managing the overall strategic direction of the Corporation, including preparation of Board and Executive Committee meeting agendas
- Overseeing annual work plans, operating budgets, and financial oversight
- Managing day-to-day operations, including human resources, recruitment, and financial monitoring
- Conducting market analysis and identifying business opportunities aligned with the Corporation's mission
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and the Tsay Keh Dene community
- Formulating and updating annual business plans, strategies, policies, and procedures
- Implementing effective project management processes for timely and profitable project completion
- Leading and coaching staff to build a high-performance culture

More About You
To qualify, you will need a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Business Development will also be essential, along with 3-5 years of experience in Natural Resource or First Nations.
A combination of education and experience will be considered.
The following are also required :
- Ability to undergo a criminal record check
- Possess a valid Driver’s License & acceptable driver’s abstract
- Willingness and ability to work in travel in-community per organization needs
The following skills and experience will be strong assets :
- A Post-Secondary MBA in Business Management, Commerce, or Finance (asset)
- Demonstrated leadership skills developed over 10 years in senior management
- Experience in economic and business development across various sectors
- Comprehensive knowledge of business operations, asset management, marketing, finance, and processes
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with external stakeholders
- Documented success in prospecting and closing deals
- Track record of effective project management and market knowledge
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong proficiency in computer and written (reports / briefing notes) skills
