For this requisition, the resource will be able to work remotely, though must be within Canada.

Pay Range :

The pay range for this position is $90-120 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Schedule :

Workhours 7.25 Hrs / day M-F

Job Duties :

The Registries Modernization team is taking an agile approach to implementing modernized, innovative, client-centric and sustainable solutions for delivering registries services to all Albertans.

Our team is looking for a Data Strategist experienced in agile project delivery and complex Information Technology (IT) systems.

The ideal job seeker will provide innovative solutions to complex challenges and will be responsible for developing a data strategy for all five Alberta registries including Motor Vehicles, Land Titles, Vital Statistics Registry, Personal Property Registry and Corporate Registry.

Key responsibilities will include :

1. Provide data leadership, data program oversight and advice.

2. Establish a data strategy for the Registries Modernization initiative that enables the GoA to maximize the value of registry data assets.

3. Provide leadership in the iterative development of :

o future state data vision, principles, and strategy for the Registries Modernization initiative.

o future state data governance and structure, including accountability for data ownership and custodianship.

o legislative and policy considerations in support of program outcomes.

o future state conceptual technical and data architecture.

o risk analysis and mitigation strategies.

o identify and define value proposition for key Data Product offerings.

4. Responsible to inform and facilitate decision-making and consolidated advice in support of the data outcomes of the Registries Modernization initiative.

5. Review, analyze and provide expert advice regarding the future-state data architecture.

6. Provide facilitation, development, and / or presentation of key communications briefings / presentations for executive leadership.

7. Establish Data Product Roadmap for the program area.

8. Provide status reports as required by the program area.

9. Additional deliverables that may be defined during the review.
