Aiolos is a project based company that designs and builds specialized test facilities, including aerodynamic and climatic wind tunnels, primarily for the automotive and aerospace industries in North America, Europe and Asia.

Project delivery models include engineering services, EPCM (Engineering-Procurement-Construction Management) and EPC (Engineering-Procurement-Construction).

Project contract values can range from under $1,000,000 to over $50,000,000.

The Manager of Project Management is responsible for project management at the company. The Manager of Project Management ensures that the Aiolos Project Managers are successful in completing their projects on time and within budget, meeting contractual requirements and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Overall responsibility for Project Management Office (PMO) functionality within the company
  • Ensures that Project Managers take ownership of projects and execute within budget and schedule and to the satisfaction of the client
  • Takes ownership of the Aiolos Project Management System, including project procedures from project startup to final client handover and project closure
  • Identifies best project management practices
  • Develops and executes a proactive approach that will create a competitive advantage for Aiolos
  • Manages a portfolio of projects with multiple priorities
  • Manages workloads within and between projects
  • Takes the lead in project reporting to the management team from a financial and operational perspective
  • Develops and coaches project managers, including mentoring of new junior project managers
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with team, peers, clients, suppliers and other managers in the industry
  • Anticipates possible problems and develops contingency plans in advance
  • Supports Business Development group in proposal activities, including definition of scope and establishment of cost estimates
  • Coordinates with Manager of Procurement for all project procurement tasks and plans

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor degree, or higher, in engineering or other relevant field
  • Broad experience in industries involving the design and supply of custom engineering equipment and / or industrial construction
  • 2-5 years experience in a Manager of Project Management role
  • 5-12 years experience in a Project Manager role
  • PMP designation
  • Great communication skills, written and verbal
  • Focus on goals and objectives and establishing the means to achieve them
  • Strong business focus
  • Flexible, adaptable and resourceful
  • Above average critical thinking skills

Salary Range :

$150,000 to $190,000 per annum (based on experience)
