Job Description

Invoke is looking for an experienced Lead 3D Artist with a strong technical background in AAA 3D assets creation to lead and motivate a team of 3D artists and the data sent and received to our outsourcing partners.

In essence you will be the owner and guardian of the object banks that include vegetation, architecture, natural, furniture and more generic assets.

Candidates should have extensive experience working with modelers and texture artists. You will be expected to create benchmark assets, define the best practices and work hand in hand with outsourcers to monitor execution.

This role requires a strong artistic sense as well as the ability to execute the highest-quality data.

What you'll do

Establish high quality standards for the team by defining solid processes and mentorship.

Develop your team through your keen artistic eye, technical prowess and managerial expertise.

Supervise the production and adoption of best practices for the creation of 3D content.

Work closely with producers to ensure that schedules and plans align with project needs.

Assess, critique, and improve the game’s environmental modeling, textures and shaders. Ensuring a consistant style across all assets.

Assist in the development of art bibles, visual direction and technical checklists for both internal and external developpers.

Maintain effective documentation and communication to ensure that team members and outsourcing partners are aligned with the project objectives

What you'll bring

10+ years experience developing AAA titles

5+ years of experience leading artistic teams on AAA titles

Creative vision to take an environment modeling to completion from either a detailed or simple concept image.

A strong understanding of both surfacing and lighting from an artistic and technical point of view.

Intimate understanding of next generation asset creation pipelines and tools.

Excellent communication skills and teamwork oriented attitude

Able to contribute to, interpret, and clearly communicate art direction to a team.

Experience in effective collaboration with outsourcing partners.

Initiative to push boundaries and an ambition to craft something outstanding

Excellent knowledge of 3D software (Maya, Blender, Zbrush, Substance Painter, etc.)

Unreal engine experience is a plus
