As the Product Designer you will be responsible for the development of new cookie kits and structures and how they are designed and decorated.

Team Trainer for programs and processes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Product Design Owner in the development process for various projects ensuring that all projects are delivered in a consistent manner and according to agreed procedures and specifications
  • Accurately completing all project-related documentation
  • Executes creation of new products working in conjunction with Product Development, Operations, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams
  • Work with various internal and external partners, supporting packaging recommendation.
  • Focus on initial concept development, testing and optimizing the design to ensure highly efficient production.
  • Review existing products and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and support product costing with the TVC format
  • Responsible for training team on process and procedures
  • Lead photoshoots by providing food styling support at the studio for products launch and packaging programs, while also aid in the design and decorations of the product
  • Supporting sample requests, photo shoots as well as new product designs in alignment with the Product Design Manager
  • Leading work with the Marketing team to support the design and development of social media postings on CAT and customer platforms when required
  • Creation and analysis of sales and category reports to assist in the development of new products.
  • Exploring and documenting competitor skus
  • Watching trends in design and adjacent categories, and documenting findings
  • Participate in new product sensory tastings and part of the plant trial team and first production runs where required.
  • Participate / Coordinate new product testing, plant trial, FPR where required.
  • Contribute to updating and maintaining die catalog. Ensure they fit the EZ build tray, wraps on pad, fits in retail box with components.

Add measurements to photos and log into the Die Catalogue.

  • Team trainer : assisting fellow team members learning of technical skills including design software, die drawing and layout, relevant documentation including TVCs, New component set-up, etc, and kit development.
  • Training for photoshoot support
  • Technical trainer for new team member onboarding

Recipe for Success :

  • Completion of college diploma in Art & Design, Culinary Arts, Pastry Apprenticeship, or a related field
  • 2-3 years in a Food Development and Innovation role within the Food Manufacturing industry
  • Experienced with bakery product design and decorating
  • Proven experience with working with Operations on product development and production
